Breezy Treehouse Near Castle

Located at Witzenhausen at Hesse, Germany, this beautiful treehouse was built by the owner from natural materials to allow others to experience what it is like to be away from the chaos of the city and find some utter peace and relaxation.

It has everything a treehouse should have: a terrace and wide windows that allows you to enjoy the amazing views all around, comfortable and warm interiors even during cold nights, cozy beds that will always ensure a good night’s sleep. In here, you will never be left wanting.

Though quite simple, Stammhaus really doesn’t compromise on safety and comfort. The cabin has all the necessary amenities needed for a hassle-free stay such as electricity, a heater, and four very cozy beds. Also, it has a water closet in a separate booth outside of it that has a dry toilet and a wash basin. On the other hand, the showers can be found in the castle. But still, it is available all day long and is only about a hundred meters away.

With regards to dining in at the Stammhaus, there's a dining hall out on the grounds that provides a mouth-watering breakfast buffet made from all the freshest local products and which can be eaten there or in the treehouse itself. Also, there is a Waldbar where lunch or dinner can be ordered upon request, as well as delicious breads and pastries, coffee and tea, and organic lemonades, beer, and wine.

From Witzenhausen, head northwest on Hinter den Teichhöfen and then take the L3238 to Berlepsche. From there, take the slight right onto Mündener Street and turn right again onto An der Linde. After so, take the left turn to Hübenthaler Street and continue on the L3238 and when you see a right turn, take it. Follow this road until you reach a fork in the road. Keep right and then make another right towards Berlepsch. Once there, Stammhaus will be on the left.

Though the Stammhaus is pretty far from civilization, it is in the vicinity of great tourist and scenic spots that offers a number of activities. So if you’re planning to stay here, you will never run out of things to do. For starters, you can visit the Berlepsch Castle which is one of the most beautiful castles in Hesse, Germany. In here, you can check out the 1000-year old ruins and the museum, as well as the restaurant that is home to many fine delicacies and drinks. Also, you can go horseback riding through the forest with your family and friends. The horses and ponies are all well-trained so you’ll never have a problem with safety even if you’re a first-timer. In addition, you can hike through the various trails in the area – all of which lead to countless lookout points and attractions such as castles and mountain parks.
