Treehouse summary
Welsh Airborne Tree Camping is an amazing unique glamping experience and is the UKs first tree tent experience. Its clever design has caught the eye of many designers and was featured in George Clarke’s Amazing Spaces. The tree tent is a lightweight, hybrid aluminium, and steam-bent green ash static airframe. Sounds complex but the important thing is that it is beautiful inside and out. The design of the tree tent enables you to live close to nature, within it almost as it is secluded and hidden within the extensive woodlands surrounding Red Kite Barn.
The design is definitely unique with a compact pod suspended high up in the trees. The tree tent is accessed via a small bridge. There are lovely views from the trees, and this is definitely a different type of holiday experience in north Wales.
The tree house accommodates two adults and has a double bed that folds up to act as a sofa during the day. There is an outdoor kitchen and an outdoor shower with hot water. The kitchen contains a camping gas stove, a kettle, a camping fridge, and basic kitchen equipment. There is a private toilet hut, which is 20 metres into the woods and there is parking a short walk from the tree house.
Treehouse description
The tree house has a log burner for those winter nights and solar power is used for the lighting and the powers socket. The rural views are amazing and from up here you can see the communal fire pit. Unfortunately, pets are not allowed. Guests are welcomed with a welcome hamper that includes bread, milk, butter, and other local produce. Pillows and bedding are provided as are bath towels and flip flops for the outside shower.
Guests will be up close and personal with the nature that surrounds the tree houses but they can also venture further out to experience the wonderful nature of the forest and woods around the campsite. There are many streams and rivers for wild swimming and many hills to climb and explore. Who knows, one of the hill paths could lead to a local pub!
