Treehouse summary
The source of inspiration for Nature Villa KÄBI came straight from nature. The striking look of KÄBI, resembling that of a pine cone, was achieved by using wood shake siding, which has a distinctive brownish-orange colour and covers the majority of the Villa’s exterior as well as interior.
Since we had such a great experience creating our first Nature Villa KASEKE together with b210 architects, we asked the lead architect Mari to push the limits once again to create another one-of-a-kind accommodation for our guests.
Nature Villa is located next to historical Maidla Manor complex that’s around 5 centuries old. There is a lot to discover for the ones interested in Estonian history and Manor culture as well as architecture and nature.

About the area
The Nature Villa is within enjoyable walking distance (400m) from the car park and the reception (Servant's house). Think through what to bring with you, as Villa can't be reached by car.
We recommend that you enrich your visit with some activities in nature. If Rapla county seems unfamiliar or there is no right equipment to take a hike on your own, we suggest exploring the possibilities early from our beloved partners. Read more about activities on our website.

The starting point of this massive project was in 2019 when we bought this manor complex in search of something special. Having travelled the globe in search of unique experiences and sites, we realized we have something in Estonia we should honour a lot more – the simplicity of pure raw nature alongside authentic manor culture.
Startuppers (read: crazy people) by heart, we first bought the manor and then started the ideation process of figuring out how to show our treasures more widely.
Estonia is called a thousand manor land – a few hundred of these complexes have survived the centuries and have been restored all over Estonia. Our goal though has never been to renovate the manor entirely but to show you layers of history and change that the complex has seen over the years. But how it will go, the future will show.
