Treehouse description

So, back to your childhood memories it is with this superb treehouse surrounded by the forest. The treehouse is a few meters above the ground so there is true wooden bridge to reach the front door. How cool is that! When you step inside the treehouse you will see a nice split level design with upstairs a double king size bed with a WC ensuite. On the ground floor there is a second double bed.

A full equipped kitchen is available to make some diner between the trees. The entire treehouse is big enough to house a family, but it is also perfect for just two couples. When the sun goes down the treehouse feels very romantic, and during the day the Birds of Paradise colored flowers and handcrafted wooden furniture give the treehouse the finishing touch. On ground floor a magnificent 100 year old Sangrillo tree houses a WC and an outdoor shower.

Since 1997 i have been living in Costa Rica. The tree house started as a young mens dream and now 25 years down the road it actually still is. Meanwhile i have build different houses around different themes. Our Crystal House for instance is the latest house we build. its nearly a Tree House, the way the house is build around the tree and the same tree is totally integrated with the house design. Recycling and reusing of recycled materials is big at the Crystal House. For me the house must fit in its natural surrounding. in order to do so, you often need to integrate the surround into your building.
I am born in Holland and moved to Costa Rica at a Young age. Adventure draw me into this dream, and I loe it every day.
hope to meet you one day. Best Edsart

    My wildest dream came true!

A bucket-list item has always been staying in a tree house hotel. The Tree House Lodge was my greatest wish come true! It's just so beyond incredible that it's actually hard to put into words. Staying in the tree house is like entering your own little fairytale. It's unforgettable.

The proximity to the beach is also a major added plus. There are plenty of nice restaurants right in the area, but you feel like you're so enclosed and away from the rest of the world while on the property.
As other reviewers have said, and I don't need to detail them, be mindful of your expectations. This is living in a tree house. It can be hot. There are some bugs. It's a sturdy and safe climb up to the top bedroom, but it's not a grand staircase by any means!

All of the staff we met were very helpful. Unfortunately I cannot recall his name, but the man on duty the morning of our stay stood with me and pointed out all of the monkeys. I would've never spotted them on my own. He also told me about the flowers on the property, as well as the iguanas. He truly took pride in the property.

I didn't get to stay as long as I had liked, but I will absolutely return and bring several friends. There's plenty of room for many to enjoy the amazing experience.

Feeling like a jungle elf in a lost world...

You know how in the Disney movies, the princess wakes up in the morning and steps outside while birds sing to her and help her get dressed? Well, that's what it felt like to me the moment I set eyes on that magical place.

I'll be the first to admit, Imma kinda grimy, punk rock, hip hop hippie; and spending a lot of money on accomodations is not usually my style. But for this place I made an exception and it was worth every penny.

First off, our "tree house" was actually more of a compound, with a spacious and open downstairs living area with a kitchen and outdoor shower (yes I said it!). The upstairs connected via a fantastically designed hanging bridge had a beautiful master bedroom with an en suite bathroom and a charming patio for morning coffee or lovemaking. Adjacent to the living area downstairs is a pavilion housing a hot tub and a covered dining area perfect for mealtimes.

Freshly roasted and ground coffee, filtered water, and fresh towels are discreetly provided whenever needed and the fire-heated hot tub will be filled and prepared at your whim.
A small winding path leads to a beautiful beach amid verdant jungle forest and ridiculously silly crabs scooting sideways at your approach.

As I have previously stated, I felt like a castaway princess in a Robinson Crusoe hideout and the four days I spent at the tree house blurred and before I knew it, it was time to go.
The owner is a lovely Dutch gentleman who took an evening to share a glass of wine with us and talk about how his marvelous creation came about.

Rent a bicycle for eight bucks a day so that you can make your way to the market, stock up on groceries, and then cook a fantastic dinner for your king or queen in flickering candlelight.
I mean, don't get me wrong, you can spend the same amount of money for some booshie, generic resort type place with fancy yet nondescript decor, safely isolated from howler monkeys and the rich jungle air.
But with an option like Tree House Lodge, why would you want to?
