Garden House

We really enjoyed our time here! We slept in the Garden House. Open air so you hear all the animals at night but we really felt safe. The staff was very friendly and they prepared the BBQ and the hot tub for us. How romantic! The area is beautiful with a nice walk to the beach. On the beach at the right side of the lodge you can swim and do snorkling. Only one comment. The Garden House is really close at the road. There is not so much traffic but it kept us awake during the first night. You get used to it but I would recommend to choose one of the other lodges closer to the beach. Thank all at the Tree House Lodge, we had a wonderful time!

It were an amazing three nights. Beautiful location with a beautiful garden (close to the beach) and the Garden House had everything you needed. The beds were really comfortable too. The owner and staff were really helpful and friendly as well. So it was everything you needed to make your Costa Rica adventure complete. Pura Vida!

My partner and I decided to visit Costa Ricas Caribbean coast for two weeks as we love nature and everything the Caribbean has to offer. I chose the tree house lodge as I wanted to stay at an eco lodge and share the wildlife's beautiful surroundings.

It was everything we imagined and more.

First off- it makes me feel sad that some people have rated this lodge 'terrible' I have no idea why!? I can only assume its people that prefer 5* all inclusive resorts. This is definitely for nature lovers and thrill seekers!

We stayed in the garden house. It was lovely and full of character. I'm glad we chose this house as I think the others would have bee far to big for just the two of us.

We did not plan any excursions as we were a bit laid back about the whole trip, "see what happens when we get there" kind of attitude. I'm so glad we were. We took each day as it came and the staff were extremely helpful when it came to booking us on excursions and arranging private tours and transport! Especially Caleb- without him we wouldn't of done half of what we did, always happy to help with a smile. Loved our chats and learnt a lot from him. Make sure you take his kayak tour- very knowledgeable and fun (one of my highlights). Shout out to boogie for taking us on a very educational jungle trek too! Oh and make sure you do the zip lining :)

All in all, without a doubt would stay here again. All the staff go above and beyond. We will miss the two gorgeous guard dogs, Saul and Tider too!

Some tips:
- Take bug spray!
- Clothes don't dry well because of humidity so take enough.
- The closest super market shuts on Sunday's (so do most things) so make sure you buy what you need on Saturdays.
- Hire bikes but don't ride them at night as they don't have lights.
- Don't take advantage of the staffs good nature but do ask if you need anything!
- Definitely go- it's awesome!

We just got back from an amazing five-night stay at the Tree House Lodge. We stayed in the Garden House, which was lovely. It has a small kitchen, living room, and two bedrooms upstairs. We enjoyed having drinks on the deck each night. Like the other houses, the Garden House had a fantastic eco-jacuzzi tub. You fill it up with water and build a fire which heats the tub up in about two hours. The staff will tend your fire while you're out to dinner so the tub is hot and ready for you when you get back!

The staff here is truly incredible. They helped us arrange activities and always met our every need with a friendly and upbeat attitude. If you stay, you must do the iguana tour with Boogie Boogie. There is so much wildlife on the property to discover. This is definitely a place where you are truly in touch with nature. It is very easy to get around the area, particularly if you rent bikes, but there are also many restaurants and a small grocery store that are within walking distance.

Best of all was the private beach, which only took a minute to walk to. We spent every day there!
