Treehouse summary
Nne is a quaint cabin off the Tanzanian coast that has a unique 'tea house' design. Simply put, it is raised on sturdy stilts and has relaxing breezes going in and out of it all day long. And due to its architecture, Nne has stunning 360-degree views of the open ocean as well as the beautiful sunsets on the island. A stay here is sure to be remarkable.

Unlike other treehouses, Nne has a very special design which allows an unadulterated view of the surroundings from its top level. Therefore, even from the bed, the scene is quite stunning.
And though the family that runs it believe in using electricity only when necessary, life never gets boring here. There is so much to do like sailing and snorkeling, watching turtle eggs hatch, and even swimming with whale sharks. What's more, the owners themselves will even take you to check them out.
Also, despite being devoid of technology, Nne is still comfortable enough for guests since it has a cozy bed, a working toilet, and hot showers. In addition, there's always fresh delicious food to be had -- all thanks again its friendly and very accommodating proprietors.

How to get there
Reaching Nne is quite easy. All you have to do is take a plane from virtually anywhere in Tanzania to Mafia Island and drive to Utende where the boat to Chole Mjini is docked. There are regular flights and boats so you won’t have to worry. Note though that since Nne is located on an island that is in the middle of the Mafia Marine Park, you have to pay $10 per person upon entry.

Nne is in the heart of the Mafia Island Marine Park which has breathtaking reefs and dive sites, thus, SCUBA diving is an activity you could try out anytime you wish to. And since owners Jean and Anne are both PADI Dive Masters and biologists, they can tailor dives specifically for you or your group and personally introduce you to the wonders that the sea around Chole Mjini offers. Besides SCUBA diving, there are hosts of other things you could experience around here as well. You can go snorkeling and turtle hatching; watch and swim with whale sharks; sunbathe and have picnics on the sandbar; island hop and sail into the sunset; or visit the nearby Chole Village and Popo Park. It’s amazing how much you can do even when there’s no electricity, right?
