Treehouse owner

Ajay

The genesis of Tranquil was to offer discerning guests an opportunity to relive the life of yesterday’s planters, in the exclusivity of a private estate. Your hosts are Ajay & Nisha and their two daughters, Samara (13 years) – when visiting from boarding school & Zara (10 years). Ajay’s experience includes advertising and also 18 years of managing Tea & Coffee plantations. Tranquil’s uniqueness lies in the ambience created to make guests feel that they are at a home of a friend. To quote a guest’s comments in the visitors’ book – “it is rare to cross the border from seclusion to inclusion – you have achieved that with grace & style.”

    The perfect tree house

What a wonderful welcome after a long journey. Ajay and Nishi made us feel so at home.
We had a tree house with two bathrooms that was wonderful. We woke every morning to the company of monkeys sitting on the hand rail watching us sleep!! I have to say they were so very funny to watch.
We will be going back to this beautiful Tranquil place

Incredible location, outstanding food - 5 stars

We stayed here in a tree house for three nights. We'd never experienced a home stay before and were a little apprehensive after meeting a dreadful woman in our previous location who hadn't really liked it and made that very clear. We needn't have worried! Superb location with the friendliest of hosts and we met some marvellous and very interesting people around the communal dinner table. Full marks to ayjay and victor for their tremendous hosting skills, they really made us feel extremely welcome. The food was outstanding, and the location is really incredible, did some
Lovely walks and rested by the pool. Thanks to all the staff especially Sami for looking after us so very well. I can't recommend this place highly enough... Just go there!

    Would definitely go back there

The resort is located in the midst of a coffee plantation and away from the hustle-bustle of the town. The property is indeed beautiful and extremely well maintained. The rooms are spacious, clean and with a nice sense of interiors. Staying in the tree house was an amazing experience with a bunch of extremely curious monkeys waking us up in the morning. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. I would say, though being a resort , the hospitality resembles to that of a homestay. The food was very homely, delicious and also had a lot of variety. There is wonderful pool and a jacuzzi where you can spend your time lazing. There are a bunch of walking trails around the plantation ranging from easy to extremely hard.

Though a bit on the expensive side, we fell it was totally worth it. We would definitely love to go back her again!

P.S: The four resident dogs are extremely friendly especially Shadow who will happily join you on any of the walks.

Perfect stay in a wonderful treehouse

A perfect stay in the family's 'tranquil'' home set in the midst of a coffee plantation.
We loved every moment from listening to the birdsong on our splendid treehouse balcony to chatting to Victor and family and learning fascinating insights to the history, culture and lifestyle of the area.Every care is taken to ensure that you enjoy your stay and nothing is too much trouble.
The food is delicious and caters for all tastes.
We enjoyed much needed walks through the coffee plantation, graded in levels of length and difficulty and were fascinated by the workings of the plantation. We would love to return.
